NDP’21: Together Our Singapore Spirit (Industry Partner: MINDEF/NDP’21)

A short highlight of the emotional Singapore Spirit video to get the audience to be excited and look forward to the main video.
The video features behind-the-scenes of Singaporeans from different races and ages giving back to the society to show their appreciation for Singapore.
An engaging and fun variety of Instagram posts, filters and GIF stickers. This elements helps to engage the younger audiences to seek out more information on not only Singapore but NDP itself. From quizzes, countdowns, to the fun introduction of the mascot of NDP, August to the young generations.
A big billboard in town to promote Singapore’s birthday with NDPeep’s mascot, August. It is to create the patriotic spirit and prepare Singaporeans for National Day. It is also to raise awareness around the mascot, August as not many people know of him.
An engaging way of initiating Singaporeans to talk about their excitement and feelings towards the upcoming NDP celebration is by having them empathize with the numerous commonality amongst us all. From the common past habits that we adopt living here together in Singapore, we want to create a fun way for Singaporeans to share their experience with their friends or to their social media following.
People in Singapore take public transport daily, we designed several different types of public transport transmedia to excite the Singaporeans. The public can interact with the transmedia and we are able to use it to showcase to the public which they can look forward to. With the concept of the design in mind, which shows Singapore’s 56th birthday while appearing cute to appeal to our target audience, which is the younger generation.
A cute mask and hand sanitizer design, designed mainly by two of our team members with the help of the other members, is somewhat of a daily necessity due to the current pandemic.
With the Funpack in mind, our designers created temporary tattoos as it has been a part of NDP Funpacks and not having one would be breaking a sort of “tradition” or “culture” in a way. To help entice the funpacks even further, our team decided to design enamel pins as well as stickers for our younger generation.
By creating a mobile game application, it helps to educate and make learning fun for Singaporeans by allowing them to learn more about the place we grow up or live in. We think that fellow Singaporeans would be keen in playing it as the ability to challenge with other fellow Singaporeans is interesting as we Singaporeans are naturally very competitive with one other.
To further excite our fellow Singaporeans, we came up with designs specifically for Lamp Post Banners, Neighbourhood Banners as well as making use of Singapore’s newest Video Information Screen in which the designs can be placed all around Singapore.

PROJECT INFO:

Our transmedia project was done in collaboration with MINDEF/NDP'21 for the National Day in 2021. The work was based on a combination of video and a series of transmedia to emphasize the main theme "Together, Our Singapore Spirit". The main goal of the project was to spread the message that Singaporeans can get through all odds together as a nation. This project was targeted primarily at the Generation Z and secondarily for the masses.
