Through Your Eyes: Singapore Book Council Community Night 2022 (Industry Partner: Singapore Book Council)
Audiences and guests were also invited treated to a special book launch of “Puisi Lukisan Berkilanan”, a bilingual collection of poems that document the sights and memories of Singapore’s most iconic heritage sites. Highlights of the book launch included a special sharing with interpreters Mr. Lin Nan Jing and Mr. Cheng Jun, and a special reading performance of selected pieces by Mr Huang Jia Qiang, Ms Liew Jia Yi, Ms Nurdiyanah Dali and Mr Fadhli Fadzil, accompanied with the music of yIN Harmony
Using the paintings featured from the book, guests were engaged in a gallery walk showcasing a selection of Singapore’s landmark attractions and heritage.
Guests were specially engaged in writing their own Haikus, which they could share with other guests and find a way to express their gratitude for the legacy of Singapore Book Council
Aside the photo wall where guests could take photos with, the wall also served as a message board, allowing for guests to write their well wishes for Singapore Book Council, attaching them to the wall to express their love and hopes for the future.
PROJECT INFO:
Our team worked with the Singapore Book Council (SBC) to organise SBC Community Night 2022 with the theme "Through Your Eyes" in celebration of its 54th anniversary as well as the launch of poetry book ‘Puisi Lukisan Berkilauan' (Poetic Hearts, Lingering Shadows). The highlight of this event was a bilingual reading of selected poems from the book, accompanied by a video specially produced for this performance and live music.. Our team also created interactive activities that revolved around the event's theme and paintings from the book.
