Jed graduated from Republic Polytechnic in 2023 with a Diploma in Sonic Arts. In the 3 years spent at the school, he has learnt to harness his skillset and spark an even greater passion for the field.

Jed was the recipient of the Director's Roll of Honour in 2020 as a result of his passion. With such achievements, Jed aims to work where his true devotion lies, in media, as a sound designer, location sound recordist, studio engineer or video editor.

During his free time, he enjoys composing and producing his own music as well as writing, filming and editing skits he makes with his friends.

My sound design for a game trailer.

I used Pro Tools to redesign the sound from this trailer. The trailer was made completely silent and I started sound design from scratch. I used SFX from the library Republic Polytechnic gave to us to accomplish this.
Mixing for location recording for a short film.

I was in charge of dialogue for this production. Here I am using the Zoom F8N field recorder to mix the microphones for dialogue and sound effects that are being recorded on location.
Set I prepared for a live recording of a performance during my internship at Zing Media.

I was in charge of patching the power cables and audio cables to connect to a mixer for the live recording and patching the instruments to their amplifiers or D.I boxes or straight to the mixer. I also handled setting up the placement of cameras, instruments and the other equipment such as amplifiers.
During internship, I was tasked to be a camera operator for a multi-cam live recording of a cooking show.

I was in charge of the close-up shot camera where I had to pan it on whatever the hosts are talking about such as ingredients or equipment.

I was assigned to the entire production process from pre-production to post-production for the interview and music video.

At Zing Media, we used DaVinci Resolve as the main video editing software.
Foley recording at home.

For this project, I used props I had at home to do some live foley recording to redesign the sound of a short animated film.

Here I was recording the sound of water pouring.
Interview of Kelvin Tan for the music video of a song called Headstrong.

One out of four in a series of interviews I produced during my internship.

I was assigned to handle the interviews for the cast of the music video from pre-production, where I thought of the questions and planned the shots and locations, to post-production, where I edited the visuals as well as sound. I was also tasked to do the production where I recorded the interviews and b-rolls.
